About Take Down Tobacco

Take Down tobacco is a comprehensive youth advocacy training program created by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in partnership with the CVS Health Foundation. This program, geared towards middle and high school students, equips youth with the skills to create change in their communities and to help create the first tobacco- and nicotine-free generation.

Youth enter the program through our research-based courses Take Down Tobacco 101 and/or The Rise of Vaping, and continue through experience-based advocacy courses. Students gain key transferable advocacy skills through our courses in messaging, media advocacy, and decision-maker engagement, allowing them to tackle any issue that affects their school, community, or state.

Each year every KBG Force must complete 15 KBG Kampaigns.  Kampaings are any outreach event or activity that gets the KBG message out to the community. Most events and activities will count.  KBG Force Meetings do not count as a Kampaign.  Check out the KBG Kampaign list for some ideas and to submit your own!
